Bulk Coating, L.L.C. is dedicated to the application of
electrocoat
paint on small metallic parts. As part of Mid-Western Processes, we have
developed a specialized piece of equipment called the
Bulkoter® to apply these coatings without the use of
racks, fixtures, barrels, baskets or trays. This piece of equipment is so revolutionary
that Bulk Coating, LLC has applied for a US patent on the innovative concept.
The labor savings due to the elimination of racking and un-racking
can be as much as 70% of the cost of finishing and
will open up entirely new markets for electrocoat finishes. The equipment will apply any type of electrocoat
finish that can be applied in a rack or fixture environment. The parts can be any metal
that is presently Electrocoated and even metallized plastics.
Ideal products to be coated include small
brackets, castings, hardware, and fasteners. This process eliminates the VOC problems
associated with solvent based paint, and the heavy metal effluent problems of
electroplating. In the case of high strength fasteners, the worry of hydrogen embrittlement is also eliminated.
Our system can operate independently under its
own control or it can be linked to a larger rack or conveyor line to utilize common
support equipment to lower to cost even more. This allows small parts to be
produced with a surface finish identical to large parts, without the penalty of
excessive racking labor cost. The "Bulkoter" is fully automatic in its operation
and requires no more skill or special training than a conventional electrocoat line.
